City of Barnesville Public Works crews will be ground spraying for mosquitoes on Thursday, July 9 between 7:00-11:00 pm. Spraying is always weather dependent. The spray is safe for pets and humans, but it’s a good idea to go indoors when the truck comes down the street!
KAVA FAMILY SPLASH PAD CLOSED UNTIL THURSDAY, JULY 9
Due to the large volume of water that was used to fight the house fire earlier today, the City of Barnesville is working to refill the water tower. To minimize water usage, the Kava Family Splash Pad will be closed until 10 am on Thursday, July 9. We apologize for any inconvenience.

FIGHT THE BITE! Barnesville Public Works staff will be ground spraying for mosquitoes on Tuesday, June 30 between 7:00-11:00 pm. Spraying is dependent on weather conditions, including wind levels. The spray is safe for humans and pets; but residents may want to go inside when the truck goes down their street.
CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD SPECIAL MEETING ON TUESDAY, JUNE 23
The Barnesville City Council will hold a 6-23-20 Special City Council Meeting on Tuesday, June 23 at 7:00 pm. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic the meeting will be held electronically. Information on how the public can participate is included on the agenda.
