With a hard freeze having occurred in the area, the City of Barnesville will not be spraying tonight and has completed their mosquito spraying for 2014. The City Council has already begun discussing a more aggressive plan to tackle the mosquitoes in 2015.

Clay County Highway 52 is now OPEN from Barnesville to Moorhead!! The section from Highway 9 to the Schmidt Potato House near Baker is gravel. The top surface will be applied next Spring. Drive safely!

Barnesville Public Works will be blocking off the intersection of 2nd Street and 6th Avenue SE again today.  The water main break in that area yesterday was repaired but there is a second break in that same area.  The area will likely be blocked off all day.
