WATER MAIN BREAK HAS BEEN FIXED

The water main break has been fixed and residents may resume their regular water usage. Some areas of town may experience cloudy water as PeopleService completes the flushing of the mains.

WATER MAIN BREAK IN THE NW PART OF TOWN

A water main break was reported this morning (Wednesday) in the northwest part of town. All residents are asked to limit their water usage. PeopleService is working on the problem and expect to have it fixed around 3:00 pm today. Thank you for your cooperation.

APPLICATIONS BEING ACCepted FOR WARD 2 REPLACEMENT

The Barnesville City Council is accepting applications for serving out the remaining term of Ward 2 Council Member Darin Allmaras. Please submit a letter expressing your interest in the position by 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2013 to City Hall. The Council will consider this appointment at their September 9, 2013 meeting.

Mosquito Spraying For the Week of August 19

The week of August 19, there will be no ground spraying for mosquitos on Tuesday August 20 nor on Thursday August 22. There will, however, be an aerial spraying on Wednesday August 21 between 8 and 10 p.m. Spraying is always weather dependent.

Final Event of the 2013 Library’s Summer Reading Program

Tomorrow, Tuesday August 20, the Library’s 2013 Summer Reading Program will be coming to an end with the Annual Pet Show! Beginning at 6:30 p.m. bring your real or stuffed pet (please cage or leash your real pets)! Awards will be given in all categories. Come on out and enjoy the final days of summer!

75th Miss Barnesville Pageant is Tonight!!

The 75th Miss Barnesville pageant is tonight! The doors open at 6 p.m. and the pageant will begin at 7 p.m. in the High School Auditorium, and will end with the crowning of the new 2013 Miss Barnesville! We hope to see you there!
