LIFELINE AWARENESS WEEK IS SEPTEMBER 7-13, 2025
The ability to connect with local resources and emergency services is more than a convenience, it’s a lifeline. The City of Barnesville joins the nation in observing “Digital Connectivity and Lifeline Awareness Week,” September 7-13, 2025. The goal is to encourage all Minnesotans to stay connected and ensure that those who need affordable voice and broadband services can access them through the federal Lifeline program.
The Lifeline program plays a critical role in bridging the digital divide, helping low-income consumers access the communications networks essential for finding jobs, accessing healthcare, connecting with family, and calling for help in an emergency.
