CITY TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON REQUEST FOR RIGHT OF WAY VACATION

Notice is hereby given that the Barnesville City Council is considering the vacation of a portion of the right-of-way for 7th Street SW, in the McGrath’s 2nd Addition, in the City of Barnesville, County of Clay, Minnesota. That part of 7th Street Southwest (Dedicated as Fourth Ave) lying Westerly of Block 1, McGrath’s 2nd Addition to the City of Barnesville.

  The Barnesville City Council is also considering to vacate any portion of any Right-of_Way or Public Easement within the property described below and shown as Tract A.

 Auditor’s Outlot 25-G to the City of Barnesville, excepting there from the following three tracts:

  1. That part of Auditor’s Outlot 25-G taken for highway purposes.
  2. That part of Auditor’s Outlot 25-G lying North of the North Right-of-Way Line of Minnesota State Highway #9.
  3. Commencing at the Northeast corner of Auditor’s Outlot 25-G to Barnesville; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said Outlot, a distance of 75 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence continue Southerly along the Easterly line of 25-G a distance of 80 feet, thence Westerly parallel to the North line of 25-G a distance of 120 feet; thence Northerly perpendicular to the last described line, a distance of 80 feet; thence Easterly parallel to the North line of 25-G a distance of 120 feet, more or less to the Point of Beginning, and there terminating.

Notice is further given that the Barnesville City Council will hold a public hearing to be held in the Barnesville City Hall Council Chambers, 102 Front Street North, at 6:30 p.m on Monday, May 12, 2025 to consider the vacation.
