CITY LAUNCHES COVID-19 RELIEF GRANTS FOR HOME BASED BUSINESSES!

The City of Barnesville has launched a COVID-19 Grant Program to assist home-based businesses within the city limits who have suffered a financial hardship as a result of the pandemic.  . 

To qualify the business must be the primary income source of the owner.

The relief program will follow the same guidelines and application process as those used by Clay County for their recent Small Business Relief Grant Program:
A business must have experienced at least a 10 percent year-over-year revenue loss between March 1 and July 31, 2019 versus the same period in 2020, or the business was restricted from operating above a 50 percent level because state orders that became effective May 18, or the business was forced to make major staff adjustments because of COVID-19.

The program will provide grants of up to $3,000 for sole proprietorships and up to $10,000 for businesses with two or more non-family employees.
