The Ice on Blue Eagle Lake is extremely dangerous – STAY OFF THE LAKE! The City of Barnesville operates aerators in Blue Eagle Lake throughout the winter. This causes the water levels under the ice to fluctuate resulting in open water and thin ice all winter. For this reason, no person is allowed on the lake.
