GUY SWENSON RECEIVES AWARD AT NATIONAL APPA CONFERENCE

The City of Barnesvillle would like to congratulate Guy Swenson, telephone, electric, and cable manager at Barnesville Municipal Utilities for receiving an American Public Power Association Larry Hobart Seven Hats Award at the Association’s national conference in Minneapolis this morning! This award recognizes managers of small utilities serving fewer than 2,500 meters. These managers have a very small staff and must assume multiple roles. The seven hats they must wear are: planning and design, administration, public relations, field supervision, accounting, human resources, and community leadership. Swenson is one of eight winners in 2015. The American Public Power Association represents non-for-profit, community-owned utilities in 2,000 towns and cities across the United States.
