HOW HOMEOWNER’S CAN HELP WITH WASTEWATER OVERFLOW
We are continuously seeing very high level flows of waste water. We have discharged two times this spring, and pond levels continue to rise. The recent rain has challenged the sanitary system greatly. Monitoring or correcting an overburdened sewer system or treatment pond can be very costly to the City. Homeowners play a key role helping to solve the sewage overflow issue. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to fix any improper connections to the sanitary sewer line such as downspouts, driveway drains and groundwater sump pumps. Homeowners must also maintain and/or repair their house lateral.
