WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SEALCOATING IS COMPLETE?

Once the street sealcoating is done, the rocks will remain on the streets for approximately 1 week. This time is very important as it allows the surface to “cure”. During this time, please drive cautiously – motorcyclists and bicyclists especially will find the surface to almost be slippery. After the 1 week cure time, public works crews will start sweeping up the rocks. It will take approximately 2 weeks for them to finish sweeping the entire sealcoating area.
