| ANIMAL
CONTROL
Within the city limits of Barnesville, all dogs and
cats over the age of six months must display a city
license tag. Licenses may be obtained at the Barnesville
Animal Care Clinic, Police Department Offices, City
Hall, or from an Animal Control Officer. To obtain your
pet's license, which is renewable annually, you must
bring proof of de-sexing (if spayed or neutered) and
proof of current rabies vaccination. Vaccination certificates
can be obtained from your veterinarian. Cost of the
licenses are $5.00 for de-sexed pets and $10.00 for
others.
The City does have a leash law and your pets must stay
on your property. There is a temporary holding pen for
stray pets. Pictures of impounded pets are posted on
the bulletin board at the Police Station, Post Office
and City Hall. Pets are held for 5 days. For further
information, please call City Hall and we will have
an Animal Control Officer contact you.

Pet License application.
