PARKS AND RECREATION

Barnesville is home to eleven different parks that are located throughout the City. Each park has a different theme of playground equipment, plus picnic areas, benches for relaxing, and trees and shade. Some of the larger parks in Barnesville have been in existence for years, while others have recently been developed. Whatever your preferences, you'll be sure to find a spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy yourself in Barnesville. For a list of Park Board members, click here.

Blue Eagle Park - 4th St. & 5th Ave. NE
Free swimming area is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Memorial Day to Labor Day. (During Swiming Lessons: 1:00-8:00p.m.)

PARK RULES:
Reminder that we have some rules in place to ensure that our parks stay enjoyable and safe for all park users.

  • No camping
  • No campfires
  • No snowmobiling
  • All pets must be on a leash
  • Park curfew is 10:00 p.m.
No alcohol is allowed in parks except by special permit at Blue Eagle and McGrath Park. No motorized watercraft or ice houses are allowed on Blue Eagle Lake. We appreciate your help in keeping our parks clean.

Hours: Monday - closed
Tuesday through Friday - 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday - 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Closed 5-6 for Supper Break)

The hockey rink at the Elementary School warming house will be open the same hours but is not supervised. Neither rink will be open during extremely cold weather (-5 with wind chill)
